"I am entranced by the colors of the glass itself...it
inspires my creativity all on its own. I am known as a colorist and love
playing with color and shapes. The interesting thing about the
different types of glass, iridized, dichroic and confetti as well as all
of the textured glass is that once it goes into the kiln...things
happen that are least expected depending on how it is layered. This
aspect is always exciting to me and creates quite a challenge.
I love using inclusions in my work...silver, copper and gold foils
or copper wire, and I am always searching for unique inclusions that
won't burn away in the heat of the kiln. I am currently adorning the
glass with metallic patterns stamped onto the glass prior to
firing...ever evolving, I challenge myself with new methods to create
all new and exciting art."
